Dr. Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, EIC’s chairman and chief executive of EIC’s sister organisation the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) has announced he is stepping down from both roles to become chief executive of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).
ACE has already started the search for a new chief executive and has engaged the services of an executive search agency to oversee the sourcing of suitable candidates. It has been agreed with FIDIC that Nelson will continue to support ACE until the appointment process for his replacement is complete. Nelson’s future departure will not affect the day-to-day operations of either ACE or EIC. To find out more, please see the ACE website.
Matthew Farrow, Executive Director of the EIC commented: “Since EIC became part of the ACE group five years ago and Nelson became our chairman, he has been unstinting in his support for EIC’s members and its mission. The link with ACE has provided the scale and resources needed to modernise EIC and has enabled us to provide better services to members and to become more deeply engaged in the sustainability agenda of the infrastructure sector. Both the EIC staff team and our members owe Nelson a debt of gratitude.”
We will update EIC members and our stakeholders in due course through our regular communication channels, in the meantime our team is available to answer any questions you may have.
