National emission targets: National emission reduction commitments have been set for five pollutants: fine particulate matter (PM2.5) – 30% reduction on 2005 baseline by 2020, 46% by 2030Ammonia (NH3) - 8% reduction on 2005 baseline by 2020, 16% by 2030nitrogen oxides (NOx) - 55% reduction on 2005 baseline by 2020, 73% by 2030sulphur dioxide (SO2)

Today the government launched its Clean Air Strategy, following a consultation last summer on a draft version.
