TRAINING PROVIDERS & END POINT ASSESSMENT

All providers have agreed to work towards meeting a minimum standard as laid out in the tender document.  Those providers that have worked with the consortium for over a year, and have a well-established regional group in place which endorses their application, will be invited apply to become a partner provider and will be able to use the TAC logo and promote their status. 

The provider network has grown in size since 2010 in response to employer demand and new standards with both further education and higher education. In some cases TAC has approached providers to get involved and in others, as in London and the West Midlands, the consortium has gone out to tender. TAC are always looking to meet new providers who are interested in teaching our standards.

TAC apprenticeship standards have been aligned to the professional registration standards from the Engineering Council and the Society for the Environment.  The Engineering Council is the UK regulatory body for the engineering profession and holds the national registers of Engineering Technicians (EngTech), Incorporated Engineers (IEng), Chartered Engineers (CEng) and Information and Communications Technology Technicians (ICTTech). The Society for the Environment is the UK regulatory body for the environment profession and holds the national register of Registered Environmental Technicians (REnvTech), Registered Environmental Practitioners (REnvP) and Chartered Environmentalists (CEnv). 

We work closely with the professional institutions and bodies and where our standards allow, apprentices can apply for professional registration for one of these titles alongside the End Point Assessment. A number of the professional bodies are now also registered and regulated as End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs).
