AIR QUALITY MEETING

The Air Quality Taskforce explores the ways in which technology and innovation can help society to tackle dangerous air pollution.

This group is chaired by Sarah Horrocks of Atkins and has two vice chairs Richard Maggs from Bureau Veritas and Dr Xiangyu Sheng from Temple Group.

Participating members are at the frontline of this fight – either through developing the technology to reduce pollution, or through monitoring, modelling, and interpretation of data which allows local authorities and metro-mayors to make informed and evidence-based decisions.

The last few years have seen plenty of progress in this space with our move to electric vehicles and the introduction of low-emission zones in cities across the country.

The group informs EIC’s thought leadership in this area, responds to government consultations, holds events, writes articles for industry press, and regularly welcomes policymakers and industry experts as guests.
