EIC’s Nature and Biodiversity taskforce seeks to share and develop good practice and influence environmental policies to support net gains in biodiversity as a foundation towards a global Nature Positive goal. Its members are at the forefront of the implementation these policies and are spearheading the net gain agenda though their work with infrastructure clients.

Legislation and policy relating to nature and biodiversity is evolving in the nations and regions of the United Kingdom presenting a once in generation opportunity for EIC members to influence what this looks like and to help government achieve ambitions in this space. In doing so the taskforce seeks to ensure new legislation, policy and guidance recognises the joint climate and nature emergency and takes a one crisis approach to developing joined-up action to address these challenges.
