BOOKING NOW: GREATER MANCHESTER'S CLEAN AIR PLAN

Webinar will highlight how a singular collaborative approach is proving effective

Greater Manchester is working hard to tackle air pollution which is damaging the health of its citizens. Its mayor Andy Burnham has been very vocal on the issue and has made it a priority to tackle the problem across the city authority.

Unless urgent action is taken, roads across Greater Manchester will continue to generate dangerously high levels of pollutants including harmful nitrogen dioxide (NO2) which can contribute to a wide range of illnesses and health conditions.

The Government has also instructed the mayor authority, and many other areas across the country, to develop clean air plans to bring levels of NO2 to within legal limits as soon as possible. The result is that Greater Manchester is now working with local stakeholders to champion a single approach for the whole region.

To update the industry on this important issue, ACE's North West group is hosting a free online event on 11 February 2021 at 12.00pm on Greater Manchester’s Clean Air Plan with Richard Banks, Senior Manager at Transport for Greater Manchester. He has been involved in the development of the Greater Manchester Clean Air Plan since the project’s inception.

The online event is open to EIC members and will provide attendees with the opportunity to engage with Transport for Greater Manchester and also to receive an update on the plan for the combined authority and what it means for the construction sector. The webinar will also include a Q&A session.
