HR FORUM LAUNCHES PROACTIVE PROGRAMME FOR 2022

New chair and vice-chair will spearhead crucial activity as we start to emerge from pandemic

EIC's HR forum has shared details of its new programme of activity for 2022.

The group brings together HR experts and business leaders from across the membership bases of EIC, and sister organisation the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), to explore the key people related issues currently facing members.

With the pandemic looming large, topics such as wellbeing, the safe return to the office and hybrid working will – of course – be explored. Across these areas, as in others, the emphasis is on the sharing best of practice and member experiences, as well as in learning from experts from outside our industries. With this in mind the six sessions will also be supported by key external partners including employment law specialists Bird & Bird, attraction and retention specialists, Hireful, and personal development and wellbeing experts Accelerator.

The group also aims to share practical support and best-practice with the wider membership base through the creation of member guides and templates on people and HR issues.

Helen Salt (Curtins) is chair of the HR forum, with Richard Wood (Hoare Lee) appointed vice chair. In a blog on the EIC website, Helen shares her views on the biggest issues facing the people and HR sector in 2022, as well as her aspirations for the group in the year ahead.

Helen comments: “I am delighted to share our initial plans for 2022. It’s fair to say that the last two years have been a roller-coaster for many. With this in mind we’ve devised a programme that will help anyone working in HR or leading a business make sense of the issues we’re all dealing with, while providing a strong network of professional contacts to bounce ideas off and learn from.”

“We’re looking forward to getting started and hope you can join us at a future meeting.”

The next meeting takes place in-person on 15 March at 11.30am at HR legal experts Bird & Bird’s offices in London. Tim Spillane and Rob Briggs of Bird & Bird will present ‘Business Protection in a COVID-impacted world’ which explores the practical steps to take to protect company information with new hires, existing employees and when offboarding. Please email us to find out more and book your place.

Can’t make the next meeting? Don't worry as they will take place every other month throughout 2022.
