As part of the Environmental Industries Commission’s (EIC) refreshed approach to advocacy, we are looking for members with expertise in the water sector.
Reflecting our new approach which mirrors chapters in the Environment Act, the group will explore how to create closer industry collaboration through water management plans, statutory changes around drainage and sewerage, further protection for the environment around flooding and abstraction and a modernisation of the process for securing and modifying water and sewerage licences.
It will also provide a platform to showcase how member technology and services can help meet government ambitions in this space.
Commenting on the new taskforce, Guto Davies, head of policy at EIC said: “Members with a working interest in water, are invited to put themselves or a colleague forward to help shape the activity of this taskforce, in a crucial area to delivery of the ambitions of the Act.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase your business’ expertise and shape the future of the environment sector.”
