NATURAL POWER OPENS NEW GLASGOW OFFICE

Renewable energy consultancy and service provider Natural Power has started its 30th anniversary year with the opening of a new office in Glasgow.

The St Vincent Street base doubles the desk space capacity held in the company’s previous Bath Street home and will help to accommodate the increasing headcount during the next 12 months.

The space is positioned close to clients in the city centre and to Scotland’s renewable energy trade body, Scottish Renewables, as well as providing more space for team and client meetings and projects.

Rob Brown, managing director at Natural Power, said: “The new office is a central location for us to work more collaboratively with our clients and their colleagues, using this shared space to create new and innovative ideas for the growing renewable energy industry.”

The news comes as Natural Power has recently supported Valorem with the delivery of technical advisory services for the financing of Lavausseau wind project in the Vienne department, France.

Conceived in 2015, the Lavausseau project is comprised of five wind turbines with an installed capacity of 18.9 MW, and delivers an annual production of nearly 43 GWh which supports the electrical consumption of 9,500 households.

It complements the neighbouring La Plaine des Moulins wind farm, which is currently under construction.

Together, these two sites will form a large-scale regional wind complex, with 10 wind turbines and a total capacity of 36.9 MW.

Construction of the Lavausseau wind farm will begin in 2025, with commissioning scheduled for spring 2026.
