Representing our members at the heart of government
POLICY
We work with our members and draw out their expertise, knowledge and experiences to respond to consultations and positively contribute to the political debate on behalf of the industry.
Our practical approach means we are well respected in Westminster and with key Government departments. We’re an ideal partner that can work positively for the benefit of all – we helped shape Defra’s position on environmental net gain.
As the environment has become increasingly important to society, we championed our members' work to metro-mayors and the devolved administrations.
Our groups provide a forum for experts drawn from our membership base to share their views and experiences and influence our thinking.
The EIC Net Zero group, working in partnership with sister organisation ACE, has enabled members to directly influence those who design and deliver our built environment.
We produce reports and insight to share our industry’s thought-leadership on environmental issues. Our consultation responses inform government policy and our briefings help members understand major issues.
