TALE OF TWO CITIES: EXPLORING ACTIVE TRAVEL
The Environmental Industries Commission (EIC), has shared details of its upcoming Sustainable Smart Cities webinars.
A Tale of Two Cities will compare the smart city/sustainability challenges between contrasting cities with speakers representing both the wider smart city community and specific places.
Curated by the Sustainable Smart Cities group, the first episode in this series will focus on Active Travel and what cities/places have done to successfully implement active travel measures, the challenges faced and types of technology used, both before and during the pandemic. Guests will share their insight on how cities such as Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Copenhagen champion active travel.
Hosted by Michael Rudd (Bird&Bird) chair of the taskforce, the event features panellists including Alex Pazuchanics (Vianova), Erik Christian Hasselbalch (Voi), Marianne Weinreich (Ramboll), Stephen Arnold (Birmingham City council) and Richard Eason (London Borough of Enfield).
