Working collaboratively with client Transport Scotland, WSP implemented a tailored bridge monitoring solution, enabling data driven maintenance decisions across their network.
Through employing their specialist knowledge of automation and data-processing, as well as ongoing discussions with the team at Transport Scotland, WSP were able to ensure their solution both complemented the client's existing strengths and added value as needed.
Ultimately, WSP's solution drastically increased efficiency of monitoring – collecting real-time data from over 4,000 sites – and assisted in repair-prioritisation via a specialist algorithm, whilst also allowing for human verification.
WSP also provided Transport Scotland with potential improvements to the process, as well as the tools to implement those improvements, allowing the client to adapt the solution to suit their needs down the line.
